You heard me! Talk with your customers.
You know, the thing we used to do when we had someone come into our store and asked questions about our product or service? Do you still talk with your customers on the phone? Maybe you go to networking events for your local chamber of commerce. If you are like most business owners, you will talk at the drop of the hat about your company. So why aren’t you doing that online?
I have a web site. Isn’t that enough?
No way is that enough in todays world. If you live under a rock, you might not have heard of Facebook or MySpace or even Digg but that does not mean they do not exist. The world has made it clear that it wants to be social! Early web technology didn’t allow for much interaction with your customers. A contact form or questionnaire may have been the extent of it. Then flash became the new holy grail of interactivity and every site started having flash animations and way to interact with the web site. Even with this cool tech, there still was not a high level of interactive content. What changed?
Social networking, New or old?
With the advent of social platforms we are getting back to being exactly what we are in real life, but online…..Social! The human critter needs social interaction to be happy. (look at all the books on how to raise your child!) This is the crux of the problem, and the SOLUTION to your Internet Marketing woes.
My Web site is my Baby!

Some of you out there go to classes to learn the best way of doing these things. THIS IS THE SECRET! Treat your web site like your baby and start learning how to get them to be social. If you are not a natural born parent for this type of child (and there are some out there that are) you should find some good courses to help guide you in raising your baby.
Is there a Lamaze class for web sites?
